Terms and Conditions

1. Event Information
SparkAbility 2026: A Walk for Change (“the Event”) is jointly organised by SPD and Samaritans of Singapore (collectively, “the Organisers”), and will be held at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay on 19 September 2026.
2. Registration & Participation
  • Registration is confirmed only upon successful payment and submission of a completed registration form.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to accept or decline any registration at their discretion.
  • The registration closing date is 6 September 2026, or earlier if event capacity is reached. Any updates will be communicated via official channels including SPD and SOS website, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Completion of the registration form represents the participant’s agreement to abide by the rules and regulations of SparkAbility 2026: A Walk for Change.
3. Participant Entitlements
  • Each registered participant will receive an exclusive event T-shirt and goodie bag.
  • Collection details will be shared via email and published on the Organisers’ websites closer to the event date.
4. Age & Supervision
  • The Event is open to participants of all ages but children under the age of 4 will not receive event T-shirt and goodie bag.
  • Participants aged 4 years and above are required to register.
  • Children below 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at all times.
5. Safety & Responsibility
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are medically fit to take part in the Event.
  • Participants should follow all instructions from event officials, including medical personnel and marshals.
  • For safety reasons, the Organisers reserve the right to amend the event route if necessary.
While the Organisers will take reasonable precautions to ensure safety, all participants take part at their own risk, and the Organisers shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6. Event Changes or Cancellation
  • The Organisers reserve the right to modify the event programme if necessary.
  • The Organisers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the Event if necessary.
Participants will be informed as early as possible. In such cases, registration fees will not be refunded, and the Organisers shall not be liable for any inconvenience or losses incurred.
7. Photography & Media
By participating in the Event, participants consent to the use of photographs, video, or audio recordings taken during the Event for publicity, marketing, and communication purposes across various platforms, including websites, social media, and publications.
8. Personal Data & Communication
By registering for the Event, participants agree that the information provided may be used by the Organisers for:
  • Processing event participation
  • Communication regarding the Event and related updates
  • Sharing information about programmes, services, and future initiatives by SPD and SOS
  • Internal planning, reporting, and statistical purposes
All personal data will be collected, used, and protected in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
9. General
  • The Organisers reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
  • The Organisers’ decisions on all matters relating to the Event shall be final.
